Level 3 focuses on the upper quarter (shoulder girdle, cervical and head regions) and the body as an integrated whole. This holistic approach is a critical part of the certification program, especially when you encounter an issue you've been unable to solve with only physical assessments. In this program, every aspect of life is considered, from respiration to diet to emotions.
During Level 3, you will obtain a new level of understanding of how to address pain and the human body. You'll learn about:
- Common Head, Neck, Jaw, Shoulder Girdle and Upper Extremity Disorders
- Referred Pain
- Nerve Entrapment
- Nerve Compression
- Assessment of Control Centres and Systems
- Limbic, Hormonal, Visceral and Musculoskeletal Relationships
- Reviewing functional anatomy of the cervical spine and shoulder girdle
- Reviewing common orthopedic dysfunction of the upper quarter
- Biomechanical assessment of the cervical spine and shoulder girdle
- Practical training of corrective exercises for the upper quarter
- Program design considerations for the upper quarter
- Stability, Strength, Power progressions for upper quarter exercises
- Practical training in Level 3 specific stretching techniques
- Live case study (on availability basis)
